Neil established England’s Ornamental Plastering over 40 years ago. In 2005 he joined with Cliff and Sarah to head the company, each bringing quite different yet complimentary qualities to EOP.
Neil E. England
He was privileged to serve a full apprentiship under two Master Plasterers in Northamptonshire. As he approaches his retirement he is one of the few remaining tradesman to have been apprenticed in the traditional methods of application, restoration and associated skills in carpentry, roofing and masonry. These accumulated skills and experience make him one of the last Master Builders who is called upon to advise surveyors and architects with their conservation projects.
More recently he has been Consultant to Sarah Beeney’s restoration for Channel 4 and is currently orchestrating the rehoming of the unique and nationally significant Brooking Collection.
Cliff Bishop
Cliff, qualified in flat and ornamental brickwork, has extensive experience in both heritage and contemporary building maintenance. He trained in ornamental plastering 20 years ago under Neil’s direction and following a decade of independent work has rejoined as a partner.
Cliff heads up the site management of our larger heritage building projects.
R. Sarah Mayfield B.A. MSc. APC
Originally a sculptor in the film industry, Sarah moved into the heritage field 10 years ago training with Neil and working with other conservation companies on such projects as SS Great Britain, Stowe House and St. Paul’s Cathedral.
In 2010 she completed the MSc. Historic Building Conservation with merit from Bournemouth University at the Weald and Downland Museum, writing a thesis on The influence of the Stuccatori on English Figurative plasterwork. She is also qualified for rope access work, IRATA level 1.
